Molly — A Maker, Making Her Own Way
I wander. I let the wind blow me. Or, I’ll stop and settle in for a while. My Chevy van is home. I have a big industrial sewing machine and two dogs. I built out a van with my own two little hands. Every bit of her has been touched by me, including deep within her engine. I carry tools. It’s a tiny workshop on wheels, with a comfortable spot to sleep, and a stove to cook wholesome food.
I’m a bag maker, a traveler, and so much more.

A Giant Undertaking
Eighteen slow months were taken to build out my tiny workshop on wheels. It had to be just right for working and living. It had to have strong bones—a good engine and stout suspension. She had to be rugged and outfitted—tough enough to hit the back roads. And comfortable, too. An inside buffered with sound deadening material and thick insulation. Agnes is a formidable tank, and I’m a resourceful steward, with tools.

My tiny workshop. Nothing new, or fancy, but just what I need. The lighting is good, and the view is ever changing. This is where the creative magic happens, and so many waxed canvas bags have been made.

Home, for a Few Days
It’s a good life, having the freedom to go where the wind blows me. I spend a lot of time near the water, where the sounds and smells are fresh and alive.
